The BCCDA depends upon volunteers to support and assist in various activities throughout British Columbia. Be a BCCDA volunteer and get more out of your BCCDA membership. Have a voice in shaping your Association!

BCCDA Volunteer: Webinar Host

 Main tasks and responsibilities

Our Webinars instruct and engage our members and showcase our presenters’ expertise.

This is your opportunity to become involved and to interact with other professionals in your field, by working with our Administrative Assistant to support BCCDA’s Webinar programs.

  • You may work from home or office.
  • We will train you in the use of the AdobeConnect application.
  • You will work with Webinar presenters to do a preliminary check of audio/visual compatibility, and will have an opportunity to suggest questions or polls that may enliven the presentation.
  • We will be happy to provide a reference after 3 months of successful performance.
  • Enhance your profile in the community.
  • Volunteer hours may be counted toward your Professional Activities hours. (Estimated number of hours per month: 6-8)

BCCDA Volunteer: Regional Representatives

Main tasks and responsibilities

We invite you to work with the Board President and our office administrators to support BCCDA’s presence in various regions. This allows our members to network and to learn in their own communities.

  • You will receive full support from the BCCDA office, including member lists and assistance with venues. BCCDA will cover your expenses.
  • Serve as a liaison and advocate for our members. We encourage you to let us know how we can he.
  • You will be responsible for organizing quarterly networking and/or training events.
  • We will be happy to provide a reference after 3 months of successful performance.
  • Volunteer hours may be counted toward your Professional Activities hours. (Estimated number of hours per month: 10)

BCCDA Volunteer: Social Media

Main tasks and responsibilities

You will work with the Board and the the office administration to support BCCDA’s social media programs. This is your opportunity to engage members.

  • You can work from home.
  • Monitor media for articles, discussion items relevant to our membership
  • Reference available after 3 months of successful performance.
  • Eligibility for Professional Activities (Estimated number of hours per month – 10)
