Please come join our free webinar on Thursday, August 24th at 12:00 pm PST to learn more about the use of assistive technology. Nate Toevs, Neil Squire Society (NSS) Employer Outreach Developer will walk us through some key factors in helping people overcome workplace barriers due to a disability as it relates to workplace activities and related duties. He will discuss some of the methods and recommendations they make to clients based on their circumstances. In his presentation, Nate will talk about proper chair adjustment (play a short video done by NSS Interns) , discuss some variables that relate directly to working at a desk and how to overcome some challenges people may face daily.

About the Presenter- Nate Toevs

Nate Toevs has a long standing background in Retail, Wholesale and Business to Business sales and marketing activities. The Neil Squire Society for 33 years has worked with thousands of people in Canada that have physical disabilities, his talk at our membership today will focus on a excellent program that is a little more mainstream in nature called the Technology@Work program. This program provides funding for Assistive Technology to help anyone employed or self-employed that has barrier to their work related duties. Restricted movements, pain, low vision, hearing loss and many other challenges and barriers can be overcome with Assistive Technologies.

Things you may not know about Nate!

He lives in Langley with his beautiful wife Andrea they have 2 kids : Josh,26 and Cameron, 21.

During his spare time, Nate has jumped out of a perfectly good airplane- twice- from 3500 feet! His other activities included: White water rafted a Class 4/ Class 5 river The Nahatlatch River in BC/ Shark Cage Diving in Gansbaai  (pronounced Hans Bye) / Saw all 5 of the Big 5 on Safari in South Africa / Drove 18 laps in a stock car at Las Vegas Motor Speedway at a top speed of 132MPH.
