BCCDA Upcoming Free Webinar- Effective Job Search for the Multi-Barriered Individual- Presenter: Christian Saint Cyr

Thursday, May 25th, 2017 at 12:00 pm PST.

12148-itoka7smzncxJoin us for our upcoming free training webinar with Christian Saint Cyr- GT Hiring Solutions / Community Engagement on Thursday, May 25th at 12:00 pm PST.

As publisher of the BC Labour Market Report and author of the BC Job Search Guide, Christian Saint Cyr has worked in the career development sector for more than 20 years. In this time, Christian has discovered that many who struggle to find employment face significant barriers that are easily identified on a resume, such as lack of work experience, being new to the country or industry, English as a second language and gaps in their work history. In a competitive model of employee screening, it is these very individuals who rarely make it to the interview stage.

During this training session, Christian will use his model of ‘PitchMasters’, which he delivers in partnership with GT Hiring Solutions, to examine strategies for effectively engaging employers in an interpersonal manner, for building a network, and for conveying transferable skills and personal qualities that are often over-looked in the recruitment process. Participants will learn new and dynamic methods for supporting job seekers (both with groups and individuals) in connecting with employers in a more meaningful manner.

To register, please find the webinar link listed on your member portal.
